The Clik Valve Starter Kit has exceeded my expectations! The pump adapter fits perfectly into the Schrader threads of my Cycplus A2 inflator. To inflate, I pull off the dust cap and push the inflator+adapter onto the Clik Valve. The inflator immediately displays the current pressure, a feature that didn’t work with Presta. After inflating, I pull the inflator+adapter off the valve and push on the dust cap. It’s quick and it works every time.
Before installing Clik Valve, my inflator failed intermittently to inflate Presta valves, and I suspected it was the valve. Both Schrader and Clik Valve have been rock-solid for me. However, Clik Valve is also faster to inflate than both Schrader and Presta. This is due to eliminating threading both the dust cap and inflator twice during each inflation. This saves a fair amount of time at the trailhead for me. I have not tested Clik’s claim that their valve improves airflow. I don’t doubt it, but it’s not as relevant for me.
I’m impressed with Clik’s compatibility with the existing ecosystem. I leave the pump adapter on my inflator so there’s no additional effort there. I also appreciate the claimed feature that Clik Valves can be inflated with a Presta pump in a pinch, though I personally haven’t tried it. This means that the Presta hand pump that my group carries can work on my bike as well!
Just installed my first set of Clik valve cores. So far, so good! Very easy to install and my Fantik tire inflator is reading spot on with the Clik adapter. Seems to be great stuff!
I have Crank Bro's pumps for road and mtn (on the bike) as well as a digital pressure guage and they aren't really compatible. The chuck will fit the pumps but you have to remember to take it with you depending on what ride you're doing. The pressure guage ~works but doesn't CLIK on to the valve and it's a little wonky.
Better than disc brakes. Or electronic shifting. Or sliced bread.
Total no brainer.
