This pump head is the heart of the Clik Valve system, and honestly, for $20 they knocked it out of the park. The fit and finish of the machining is perfect, and the styling is simple and sleek so it complements your existing pump beautifully. Retrofitting my old Bontrager took less than 5 minutes and didn't require any tools or even cutting the hose. The extremely compact head fits easily in between spokes, and the Clik system makes inflation virtually foolproof.
As minor criticisms, I'll note that my pump head did not come with the listed "ball and sports equipment inflators", and though there are some included 8/9mm hose ferrules, the 10mm hose on my pump felt a little sloppy until I 3D-printed a custom one. Might as well include the 10mm so everyone can get the same premium experience no matter what pump they're converting.
The adapter works well. No complaints, I'll have to by the replacement head on my next order.
Installation is a snap, the pump head adapter makes a great complement to a cheap hand held compressor. Recommended
These are so much better than presta valves, easy to use and look better!
Very easy to use. Make sure you order inner tunes with replaceable cores.
I like not having to deal with the little knurled nut on top of a Presta valve, and will probably appreciate it more so this winter on a fat bike. The main problem is with the cap design and how they sell the valve cap. Your current ones won't work with this design and you have to buy Clik's separately. The plastic ones that come with the valve core are very easy to lose and none of it looks good if you have existing colored valve stems. Fortunately, Wolftooth is offering some Clik products and may be backwards compatible in terms of the valve cap.
These are absolutely amazing, no more unscrewing the little valve, no more futzing around with the lever on a pump, just pop it on pump and pop it off! Saves time and frustration, and worry that you're going to bend your valve! (Skip the premium dust caps though, they don't live up to the "premium" label)
presta valves solved a problem with super narrow rims, a problem we no longer have. schrader valves are fine but with an industry designed around the presta size that's not a great option either. additionally with both presta and schrader the potential to leak air with fiddly pump heads is all too frustrating and common. clik fixes all these problems!!
I've been super impressed how such a small item has changed my riding experience! I don't think I'll ever switch back to presta valves.
Bought the stems thinking that all that was needed then realized I needed the adapter head ( threaded) to make complete the puzzle.
My pump doesn't have a threaded head so I still needed to purchase another adapter that replaces current pump valve. It was then that I realized this product wasn't for me.
I wondered what would happen if I had a flat out on the road and didn't have my garage pump with me? Eye roll.
Many places I ride have bike pumps out and about but they aren't threaded it " no air for me"
I haven't researched how many lbs have the necessary heads and adapters of Clik, but if their shop doesn't carry clik they won't be able to fix flats.
Instead of spending 40+ dollars to fill my tires I will stay with my 40 bag of valve stems that I got for 5$. Will last me for years & years
Absolutely impressed with Clik customer service! My first valves leaked air at the pump head connection. I contacted Clik and they responded within hours saying they were sending a new pump head and two new valves. The new ones work well and I think the problem was with the original pump head. It’s usable but leaks slowly after you stop pumping. The replacement seals completely and I’m happy with the results. I ended up using the head adapter in my existing presta head - it threads/pushes into the rubber fitting - with the pump
Lever locking it in. That way it’s easy to remove it if I need to pump another presta or a schrader.
I have a hard to access valve due to the large panniers on my ebike. It's difficult to attach a normal schrader pump head. Much easier with Clik.
Definitely enjoying the valves, but the pressure gauges are a waste of money. The electronic gauge is off by a 2-3 psi, which is not a big deal, but the problem is the bleed valve doesn't change the pressure reading at all, so you have to unplug the gauge, reset it, and then plug it back in to take another reading after bleeding. The mechanical gauge is better in that regard since the bleed valve changes the reading, but the reading is off by 9-10 psi, which I would consider very inaccurate. You would think the two Clik brand gauges would at least give the same reading, lol. Anyway, lesson learned. Hopefully this review saves people some money.
Switched out all my bike tries to these adaptors with no issues at all. They all work great with the pump head adaptor and pressure gauge that I also ordered.
Probably the best and most inexpensive upgrade to your normal cycling tasks - nothing to learn/charge/adjust - just a better mousetrap. Presta had its day, but it is officially over. Clik Valves and the requisite pump heads are the pneumatic future of bicycle (and other) low volume tires. Don't wait.
Works well with threaded and AVACS pumps.
I switched to click valves a few months ago and they have been outstanding. They are very reliable and much easier to deal with on the trail.
Of all the upgrades you can make on a bike, these little valve cores make a huge improvement in something you do before nearly every ride. Getting the pump on and off and getting ready to ride is so much quicker. The Clik pump head just pops on and off, no messing about with threading the presta core in and out. No longer worry about bending the presta core. The airflow is also noticeably improved.
It's a whole lot easier than dealing with the presta valves
